Sign based on: TDA Series 'Road closure / detour direction indicator square symbol' Signs

Notes: Can be altered to suit other detour symbols (circle, State Highway shield, etc.)

Adjustments made: Altered the detour arrow to present a 'u-turn' symbol.

Material requirements are to meet the standard requirements under the TCD Rule 2004 and sections 4, 5, and 8 of the TCD Manual Part 1: General Requirements for Traffic Signs. If these requirements can not be met please discuss further with your local RCA.

The sign presented on this page is not to be used without specific RCA permission on a case-by-case basis for each TMP submitted. Prior to use of this sign the TMP designer must perform their own assessment to determine if the sign is required on their TTM proposal. The sign(s) presented on this site are to be used as a last resort where TCD approved signage has no suitable alternative. Some RCA's may require an EED for usage of these signs which will be notified to the TMP designer or applicant upon submission. The owner of this website created this page and guidance document as an act of good faith towards the TTM industry to assist designers in standardising signs that may be used in specific TMP applications.
